First super silent Biogas CHP container whispers in the middle of the residential area of Lünen - 30.11.2009 As part of a large order of Stadtwerke Lünen now the first of five Biogas container CHP was delivered. By super sound damming the sound pressure is reduced to whispering tone. That was required since the installation of the containers takes place in the residential area of the city Lünen. Altogether 13 CHP units of the type FMB-320 BSMK and/or GSMK are installed with a total output of 3,4 MW in the supply area of Stadtwerke Lünen. 10 plants are operated with Biogas from a central anaerobic digestion plant which is distributed through the city in a pipe-network particularly build for this purpose. Further 3 units are operated with natural gas. The heat of the CHP´s is fed into the existing district heating network of the Stadtwerke Lünen. Advantage of the decentralized structure is the reduced pipeline losses. The installation of the container CHP´s, directly in the residential area, required a special design in particular regarding the noise control and the optics. SCHMITT ENERTEC has developed for this purpose super silent containers with their outer skin covered with facade panels in different designs. The standardized containers adapt so to the respective townscape. The container inner walls are completely lined with sound-absorbing material. Standard sound proof CHP´s are installed in the containers thus the sound level inside the container is reduced to 70 dB(A) only. The mixture cooling takes place internally, so that the normally usual dump radiator for the low temperature circuit cooling is eliminated. Additionally to the standard primary muffler also the proven secondary mufflers in the exhaust gas system are installed within the container. The optical appearance is rounded off by a roof planting of the containers. A sound pressure level lower than 30 dB(A) in only 15 m distance is achieved by the whole of these measures. This compares to the level of whispering to each other as following table shows. |

SCHMITT ENERTEC refers on the Shanghai CHP seminar – 18.11.2009 AT the CHP seminar arranged by the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange Frank Schmitt, managing director of SCHMITT ENERTEC presented the advantages of the CHP technology to an interested audience. Representatives from government, Private business and science were interested apart from the financial saving possibilities also in the integration ability of CHP into existing heating systems. In particular the compact and at the same time easy to maintain designed SCHMITT ENERTEC CHP´s lured active interest. SCHMITT ENERTEC is presented in China by its local distributor Total Energy Solutions. TES is active in Shanghai for 4 years already and offers energy performance contracting. SCHMITT ENERTEC CHP are thereby a part of a total concept showing substantial saving potentials e.g. for hospitals, office buildings or apartment complexes. First common projects are expected to the midyear 2010. |

Sales engineers for the export to Australia/South-East Asia trained - 06.11.2009 As part of the global expansion strategy SCHMITT ENERTEC closed new sales partnerships for the Australian and Southeast Asiatic market. In the countries China, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia, SCHMITT ENERTEC will be represented in the future by Kaltimex Energy and their affiliated firm Total Energy Solutions (TES) In the framework its were representatives of both partner enterprises for product training to attendance in the SCHMITT ENERTEC work in Mendig. TES offers energy performance contracting and operates Australia since 1995. On the Chinese market TES is active since 1995. Totally Energy Solutions is particularly specialized in the certain requirements in hospitals and public buildings. TES has own offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Shanghai. CHP were so far custom designed and developed under integration of various local subcontractors. By the new partnership with SCHMITT ENERTEC now standardized compact units can be offered, which reduces the engineering and installation expenditure substantially. First common projects are in planning so that first concrete customer orders are expected in the first quarter of 2010. Kaltimex Energy operates offices in Jakarta, Balikpapan, Sampit, Medan, Pekanbaru, Singapore, Dhaka und Samarinda. Kaltimex is the leading provider of distributed power generation and Cogeneration solutions in Indonesia with installations up to 25 MW . Natural Gas and Biogas GenSets of SCHMITT ENERTEC round up the product range of Kaltimex in the lower range of 100-500 kWel. |

India business further developed - 22.10.2009 After successful introduction of the SEMB natural gas engines on the market in India since 2007, the sales now constantly grows. For 2010 the sales of 100 Gas Gen Sets on the subcontinent is targeted. Customers are mainly industrial enterprises who base their power supply totally independent from the national grid on SCHMITT ENERTEC natural gas generator sets. Important decision criterion is the high electrical efficiency of the SEMB engines, also under extreme site conditions, as well as the load handling capacity of up to 50% of nominal load in one stage. A further application is trigeneration e.g. in hospitals or public buildings. Together with the Indian distributor, Shiva Genset Pvt. Ltd. complete solutions with absorption chillers for cooling are offered. |

Heat exchanger production developed - 07.08.2009 SCHMITT ENERTEC manufactures shell and tube heat exchangers for the exhaust gas heat recovery in its own CHP units for many years. The offer was now extended to the loosely supplied exchangers. The first Exchangers for Jenbacher 416 as well as for Deutz/MWM gas engines were delivered. Due to the flexible manufacturing also special solutions can be supplied e.g. to vertical installation with particularly developed venting system or exhaust condensers for engines up to 2 MWe. Layout, construction and manufacturing takes exclusively place in the SCHMITT ENERTEC factory in Mendig. The welding manufacturing process is certified by German TÜV. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
